When I first heard this stuff, I thought that Alanis Morissette was just another whiney American. I just wanted to give her a good slapping! However, somebody lent me the CD and I read (and listened to) the lyrics. Brilliant. Her depressive-obsessive theme really touched a nerve for me at the time. So I stopped stabbing myself with the car-keys and contemplating bridges and listened to this album instead. I can't say it helped, but it was something to do.
Bridges don't hold any special interest for me anymore, so I don't listen to it much these days. Maybe it's got too many associations. Still good though - proves that whiney Americans aren't all bad.
Anyway, if you like Ms. Morissette's lyrics, why not try
randomly generating
some of your own.
