This album came out while I was wrapped up in University. Cambridge
is such a closed little world that aliens could have landed on the Whitehouse
lawn and I don't think we would have heard about it until the vacation. So
this release passed me by completely, and it was only recently that I even
realised that Depeche Mode had carried on and got even better since their
mid-eighties hey-day.
