Gazetteer : Berlichingen

Berlichingen (NI-0801, D600437-7) is an airless, inhospitable world. It was only settled in recent years, in hopes of profiting from the flow of merchant ships between Serendip Belt and Neubayern. A few decades ago, most merchant ships were only capable of jump-1, and Berlichingen was a vital refuelling stop. Nowadays, most ships are capable of jump-2, and use drop tanks to bypass the expensive facilities here. The world has become a shoddy, run-down backwater.
