Unknown disease mystery.

Reports of outbreaks of a mysterious disease are being denied by officials here today. It has been confirmed that a hospital in central New Canne has been sealed off by security forces tonight. Initial reports from the hospital that “several severely ill people” had been taken into intensive care. Since this time there have been unconfirmed reports of hospital staff being taken ill.

Plague: Death toll rises.

Sporadic outbreaks of the mysterious disease have been reported across the continent. The death toll is now estimated to be several dozen. Hospitals are not commenting on the situation; a policy which has lead to much speculation. Staterooms on liners leaving ‘Down’ starport were fully booked until the ’port authorities forbade further movements of commercial vessels to and from the surface.
